Lee Nilsson has a Master of Arts in History from Eastern Washington University. There he studied digital preservation and public history, as well as dabbling in Mediterranean classical archaeology. Dedicated to starting a career in public service, he saw the NDSR as the perfect opportunity to get a foot in the door. As a resident at the Library of Congress working in the Office of Strategic Initiatives, Lee has been researching and meeting with staff members in order to analyze the future risk of obsolescence to digital formats used at the library and he has been developing action plans to address said risks. In the future, Lee will like to continue his career in digital preservation working in government.
