JJ Rutherford is the Director of Education for History Colorado. She has an M.A. in Museum Education from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a B.A. in History and Education from Princeton University. Prior to working at History Colorado, she was the Curator of Education at the Estes Park Museum in Estes Park, CO and an interpreter for the National Park Service at Black Canyon of the Gunnison. JJ began her career as a high school history teacher and is certified in both elementary education and secondary social studies. She is the lead developer of the digital learning project.
