Bill Derry is the Assistant Director for Innovation and User Experience at The Westport Library in Connecticut.  He is the Co-chair of the Westport Mini Maker Faire and one of the leaders of the creation of the MakerSpace.  Bill has a Bachelors of Science in Education, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology and a 6th year in Administration and library media certification from Southern Connecticut State University.  Prior to joining the Library in 2011, Bill worked in education for over 30 years as an elementary classroom teacher, drama-in-education teacher, library media specialist, supervisor of library media K-12 and information and technology literacy coordinator K-12.  He was honored in 2011 by the CT Association of School Librarians for significant contributions to the library media field on the local, state and national levels.
