Anne, IMLS Project Manager, is the Special Projects consultant, Development & Communications Department, of the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library System, the 37-library network serving Erie County, Western New York. She manages community-based programming for the Library, writes grants, and works on marketing, events and exhibit projects. She is also the administrator for the Library Foundation, which maintains the Library’s $2 million endowment fund.
A native of WNY, and a graduate of Ithaca College and the University of Michigan, she returned to WNY in 1985 after marketing positions with Circle in the Square Theatre in NYC, Virginia Museum Theatre in Richmond, and Arena Stage in Washington, DC. In Buffalo, she has worked on downtown development and encouragement of Buffalo’s Theatre District over a dozen years at Buffalo Place, downtown Buffalo’s non-profit management organization; staffed the community-wide 2001 Pan American Centennial with the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society; and coordinated exhibits and events at the Buffalo Museum of Science. She is Vice President of Hull House Foundation, the all-volunteer non-profit stewarding the development of Erie County’s oldest residence, the c. 1810 Hull House in Lancaster, NY, into a Living History educational site interpreting WNY’s settlement period.
