Recording & Archive Manager


Virginia Millington is the Recording & Archive Manager at StoryCorps, an independent nonprofit whose mission is to provide Americans of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to share the stories of their lives. The department she oversees is responsible for the archiving and long-term preservation of up to 6,000 born-digital audio interviews annually and also ensuring that StoryCorps venues throughout the country are equipped to capture the highest-quality recordings possible. Millington has worked at the Walker Art Center, the Library of Congress, and the Folger Shakespeare Library, and in 2010, she was awarded, with co-producer Shea Shackelford, the prestigious Bronze Award at the Third Coast/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition for audio documentaries.
