Jim Spadaccini is the Creative Director of Ideum (www.ideum.com), a design firm that works with museums and other educational institutions with a strong focus on multitouch and other emerging technologies. Ideum develops software and designs and manufactures large-scale multitouch tables and touch walls, which are sold globally. Jim is currently the Principal Investigator of a major National Science Foundation (NSF) sponsored project, Open Exhibits (www.openexhibits.org) and a co-PI for the HCI+ISE (Human Computer Interaction in Informal Science Education) Conference. Before founding Ideum, Jim was the Director of Interactive Media at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. In addition, he has consulted with Apple and Adobe and has developed promotional and instructional materials for a number of professional software authoring tools. He currently teaches for the Cultural Resource Management Program at University of Victoria, British Columbia.
